We are “The Encouragers”, and the purpose of this ministry is to nurture and bestow blessings to adults aged 50 years and older through prayer, fellowship, fun and encouragement. The Encouragers meet the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM for a potluck dinner and an entertaining, inspirational and interesting program. We have themed dinners such as our annual Valentine dinner when we crown our Valentine Queen or King. Our very, special time of the year is Christmas when we celebrate the birth of our Savior with a Saturday afternoon Christmas Celebration lunch and festivities.

The Encouragers play a very important role in the Dahlonega Church of God family and are involved in many activities, including Mercy Monday’s “Hope for the Hungry” food program each month, Encouragers’ Choir and Encouragers’ visitation ministry, to name a few.
